A report from specialist sports website Sporting Intelligence has shown the highest valued teams in the Premier League, with Arsenal unsurprisingly ranked second behind Manchester United.
Arsenal has a phenomenal market value, with our brand identity only matched by a handful of clubs around the world. We have fans across the globe, and are known for our economic success.
With a total value of £1.118bn, we are some way above the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool. Only Manchester United boast a higher value, although their total of £1.848bn does dwarf our own.

It’s easy to see the gulf that exists in the league, and beyond the top six there is a huge drop. Even Liverpool at £537m are valued significantly lower, but that’s nothing compared to teams like Bournemouth and Sunderland at the bottom of the table on £104m and £121m respectively.

We have the money available to spend big if we want to, but Wenger still seems reluctant to splash the cash. Hopefully he opens his chequebook before the window slams shut and we see some new arrivals at the Emirates.
