Arsenal are set to take on a Singapore XI in their first pre-season game of the season, with their tour of Asia kicking off soon. The official teamsheets have been released on Arsenal’s official Twitter account, and there are a few surprises.
Arsene Wenger opted to field a number of youngsters, with some of the more experienced stars clearly being rested having only just returned from holidays. There are a handful of veterans in the side though, and we should certainly see plenty of goals.
Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom are getting a chance to lead the attack, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain completing the forward line. Jack Wilshere looks set to play the No.10 role, with Francis Coquelin and Mathieu Flamini starting in midfield.
It’s an experienced back line, with Per Mertesacker, Nacho Monreal, and Mathieu Debuchy playing alongside the younger Gabriel – with Damien Martinez in goal. Hector Bellerin and Wojciech Szczesny are on the bench with a few of our younger stars, and will presumably see action in the second half.

Regardless of who we fielded, we should have more than enough about us to see off the Sinagpore XI. This game definitely has goals in it, and will hopefully be an entertaining one.
