There are just a few days left of the transfer window, but Arsene Wenger is seemingly still working hard. Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is a reported target, and we are apparently willing to meet his £21m release clause to bring him to the Emirates, as reported by the Express.
The first few games of the season have been somewhat enlightening, and one thing has been made abundantly clear. A dedicated defensive midfielder is hugely important to our success, and we can’t afford to be without Francis Coquelin.
The Frenchman has been superb ever since he was recalled from his loan spell with Charlton last season, but we can’t rely on him to be fit and in form the entire time. Krychowiak would provide some much needed cover and competition, and the 25-year-old would be an ideal signing.
He has been phenomenal since signing for Sevilla last summer, and his value has absolutely skyrocketed. The Express cites a report from Spain, which claims we are more than willing to meet the £21m release clause to lure him away.

The report goes on to state that the decision is now in Krychowiak’s hands, and that the Polish star will make his choice in the coming days.
