Arsenal rumours
Maitland-Niles looks like a hugely promising young talent, and Arsene Wenger clearly has faith in his abilities. The manager has already handed him a handful of first-team appearances, with the young England international getting his debut in our dominant 4-1 win over Galatasaray.
Ipwich had an extremely solid season in the Championship last season, and at one point looked sure to secure promotion to the Premier League. They missed out however, and will be looking to mount another challenge next season.
The important thing is for our young star to see action, regardless of what level he’s playing at. He will hopefully get plenty of game time with Ipswich, and come back to the Emirates a vastly improved player.
We haven’t seen as many of our youth players rise through the ranks as we would have liked in recent seasons, but he looks like a player who could do just that.
