Hector Bellerin has certainly improved hugely over the last year, with the young Spaniard stepping up and making a massive impact last season. But has he done enough to proclaim: “I am amazing. I’m the best player in the team.”
Despite some excellent performances, you’d argue that he probably hasn’t done enough. It’s lucky therefore, that the 20-year-old isn’t talking about football, and is actually talking about Call of Duty.
Bellerin attended the Beta launch for the newest game in the series, and got a chance to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
He fancies himself an “amazing” player, but when given the chance to play alongside some real gamers he was in for a shock.
The right-back described his competition as “unreal”, and claimed that with the vision they possessed they were like the “Mesut Özils” of the gaming world; high praise indeed.

Bellerin has been superb since his emergence last season, and is now deservedly our first choice right-back. Mathieu Debuchy will be looking to wrestle his starting spot back off the youngster.
