It looked at one point like Petr Cech wouldn’t be the only Chelsea man moving to the Emirates this summer (via the BBC), with Arsene Wenger apparently making an £8.5m bid for Blues youngster Charly Musonda, according to the Daily Star.

Petr Cech set for Arsenal medical today
The Star claim Wenger is a big fan of the young Belgian midfielder, and was keen to lure him away from Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho was unwilling to let him leave on a permanent basis however, and would therefore only sanction a loan move, the same report suggests.
We were understandably unwilling to train Musonda up only to return him to arguably our biggest title rivals, and so turned down the chance to sign him temporarily, according to the Star. He is instead set to join Marseille for the season, with the report claiming we have given up on bringing him to the Emirates.
It’s always a possibility that Wenger will revisit a move for the 19-year-old in the future, but he currently has a long term deal with Chelsea that ties him to the club at least until 2019 (via the Star).
