Arsenal’s rumoured interest in Arturo Vidal has taken another twist with reports suggesting that a deal to bring him to north London is ‘90% done’, according to Cadena Cope.
Cadena Cope claims that Vidal will ‘almost certainly be an Arsenal player next season’ with Arsene Wenger playing a crucial role in the last few days in luring the Chilean star to north London, for a fee they believe to be in the region of €30million.
Vidal is currently preparing for a Copa America semi-final against Peru alongside our very own Alexis Sanchez as the duo look to clinch the trophy on home soil.
Arsenal transfer news
Wenger’s thinking behind his reported pursuit of Vidal will become interesting should the move take place, given the number of players currently operating in that position.
The 28-year-old favours a box-to-box midfield role, a position currently occupied by Santi Cazorla with both Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey waiting in the wings.

A team can never have enough world-class players, but Wenger should focus on signing players of that calibre to fill positions which desperately need attention.
