According to reports, Gunners centre forward Yaya Sanogo could be set for a loan move in January with playing opportunities likely to be difficult to come by.
The 21-year-old has endured a mixed start to his Arsenal career scoring just once in 19 appearances since joining as a free agent from Ligue 2 in France.
Sanogo was thrusted into the spotlight last season with injuries and Olivier Giroud struggling for form seeing the France youth international spearhead Arsenal’s attack in several FA Cup wins last season and infamously against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Although Sanogo has impressed in patches it’s clear his raw talent needs to be honed and requires some regular first team football. With Giroud back in form and Danny Welbeck above him in the pecking order, opportunities will become increasingly difficult for the former Auxerre forward.
Arsenal also still have the likes of the returning Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Lukas Podolski as established attackers who can all do a job leading the line if necessary.

Although Sanogo did a fantastic job against Borussia Dortmund in the group stage this season, now is the perfect time for a loan move. Only if we can make it through the hectic festive period without any fresh injury setbacks up front.
Do you think we can afford to let him go?
