Arsenal legend Bob Wilson has jumped the gun a little and welcomed Petr Cech to the club after reports suggested that a deal to bring the 33-year-old to the Emirates Stadium had been completed.
Excited about signing of @PetrCech by Arsenal. A truly great goalkeeper joining a truly great club

The Daily Mail broke the story on Monday afternoon, claiming that all the finer details had been ironed out, but we are still awaiting official confirmation from either club.
It seems as though the deal will be announced imminently (via the BBC) and Wilson is excited that we have finally added a world class goalkeeper to our ranks.
Arsenal transfer news
Wilson was our goalkeeper in the double-winning side in 1971 and later became a coach at the club, so his expertise is clearly more respectable than the average spectator.

He has also always been a man of class, and his reference to Cech now joining a ‘truly great club’ could be seen as a dig at Chelsea and their artificial rise to the top of the game.
Adding a world class option between the sticks is a game-changer for us, a player with huge experience capable of bailing us out in times of need.
Cech has carried a club like Chelsea to a number of major honours, and this seems like a deal that would send a message to our rivals that we’ll be seriously challenging for the league next season.
