Arsenal fear that Calum Chambers could now miss another few weeks of action with his hip injury worse than first feared (via The Mirror).
Arsenal and injuries go hand-in-hand, particularly at this time of year. This season is now different after a trio of key players missed last weekend’s match with Watford.
Aaron Ramsey, Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny all sat out the trip across London along with long-term absentees Shkodran Mustafi and Santi Cazorla.
Calum Chambers has missed the last two weeks of action with a hip injury but reports suggest that he could miss even longer.
The Watford match last week or Thursday’s Europea League tie with Red Star Belgrade were earmarked as potential returns for the defender but now it looks as if he will be out for a further few weeks.

This only furthers Arsenal’s defensive problems. Nacho Monreal, Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding are now the only centre-backs who are 100% fit.
It’s not an ideal solution for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. With Europa League and Premier League action on Thursday/Sunday, the Gunners have effectively used two separate teams. This can no longer happen if Arsenal only have three centre-backs to choose from.
