Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has promised fans that he is yet to fulfill his potential at the club and that we’ll see the best of him next season, according to our official website.
Welbeck was hampered by a few niggling injuries in the second part of the season and was shunted out wide to accommodate Olivier Giroud.
The former Manchester United man’s best moment last season came at his old stomping ground, as he knocked the Red Devils out of the FA Cup.

“Wherever you play on the pitch, whether it be the left, on the right or down the middle, you are going to give you [sic] best,” Welbeck told Arsenal.com.
“I know I definitely have more levels to go to, and I am really looking forward to doing that next season.”

The 23-year-old joined on deadline day last summer, but despite a decent start he failed to convince as a central striker. Arsene Wenger has since used him out wide, and if we were to add another striker this summer, Welbeck’s long-term future in that position will be cast into doubt.
As much as Arsenal fans around the world wish to see Welbeck prove Louis van Gaal wrong and become a prolific striker, we’re in no position to wait for the England man to develop.
If a world class striker becomes available in this window, we’d hope that the boss would actively look to strengthen in that area.
