In an interesting new feature introduced by the club’s official Youtube channel, Jack Wilshere is the latest player to reveal his ultimate XI.
However unlike Francis Coquelin’s team, Wilshere chose from players he’s played with for Arsenal and at international level.
Arsenal transfer news
Here are the players who made Wilshere’s XI.
GK) Joe Hart
The Manchester City shot-stopper makes the team ahead of Wojciech Szczesny – and rightly so. With two league titles and an FA Cup under his belt, Hart has developed into one of the top goalkeepers in Europe.

RB) Bacary Sagna
Wilshere went for his former Arsenal teammate and few can dispute his choice. The consistency Sagna showed during his time with us was remarkable, especially considering that he was forced to recover from two broken legs. It’s just a shame that he chose to sit on Manchester City’s bench for the remainder of his career.
CB) John Terry
A brief spell at international level together has forced Terry into the XI. Whatever he does off the pitch, Terry’s performances on the pitch are first class.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
It would’ve been blasphemous had Wilshere left Koscielny out of his team considering the rise to prominence he’s experienced over the past few seasons. Arriving as a slightly built defender, the Frenchman has transformed into a commanding beast and is easily one of the best in Europe.
LB) Ashley Cole
Wilshere has clearly gone for ability in this team, regardless of how Arsenal fans currently feel about our former players. Cole is comfortably better than Kieran Gibbs and Gael Clichy.
