Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere made a bold statement after our 3-1 victory against Hull City on Monday night, by claiming that we have some of the best attacking players in the world, The Evening Standard reports.
The football we produced at the KC Stadium was mouthwatering, with the likes of Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey dovetailing beautifully.
Wilshere himself produced a sensational cameo appearance which once again highlighted the embarrassment of riches available to Wenger in an attacking sense.
With Ozil and Alexis leading our forward line, the £77m (via The Independent) pair justified Wilshere’s statement.
Arsenal transfer rumours
“We knew Hull were going to come out strong – they are fighting for their lives – but we soaked up the pressure well and then our quality showed through,” Wilshere told the publication.

“We have got players going forward who are some of the best in the world and they showed that last night.”
The arrival of Alexis and Ozil certainly catapulted the potency of our strike-force with both players arguably capable of walking into any side in Europe.
In that sense, Wilshere is absolutely correct. However, as a complete forward line, we still have some way to go in order to compete with other European giants.
With Barcelona able to field Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in one team, the standard has been set.
Having said that, with the finances we have at the club, Wenger can surely add some world class talent to our, already strong, squad.
