We have been credited with an interest in AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in the past, and the Ligue 1 side claim he is available for £14.5m, according to the Express.
A defensive midfielder has been top of our shopping list for quite some time now, and Arsene Wenger is expected to renew his interest in a number of targets this summer.
Kondogbia could be one of the players that catches his attention, especially after his impressive display against us in the Champions League.
He is a dominant midfielder who is strong in the tackle, but is also capable of picking a pass and getting forward when needed. He is not known for his goalscoring, but popped up with the hugely important first goal during our 3-1 loss.

There are certainly other targets that may be preferred over the Frenchman, but Wenger is always keen to find a bargain wherever possible. The 22-year-old has plenty of time to mature into a more complete player too, so getting him for £14.5m now may be a fantastic bit of business.
