Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned fans not to expect a massive turnover of the squad this summer with the boss looking at smart moves in the transfer windows, Arsenal.com reports.
Following our FA Cup final victory against Aston Villa, focus immediately turns to next season and how we can improve the squad in order to challenge for the Premier League.
The last eight FA Cup finals have been decided by one goal, so our emphatic win on Saturday shouldn’t be sniffed at. However, the fact remains that we’ve finished 12 points behind champions Chelsea and that deficit must be bridged.

“We’ll see what’s going on in the transfer market, but we have a good basis,” Wenger said.
“We have some time to prepare because we won’t be playing a Champions League qualifier. We have a good confidence level, so let’s show that we can be intelligent during the summer.”

Wenger will be keen not to disrupt the side with too many changes as we witnessed last summer with the hope that we can start the season strongly.
We were 11 points behind leaders Chelsea after eight games and given that we finished a similar number of points behind them this season, our start next season will be crucial.
Having been left short for a number of years, we certainly hope the club can add the small ingredients we need in order to claim our first league title since 2004.
