Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has hinted that he may leave the club in the near future after stating that he wants to stay for at least one more year, Turkish publication Sabah reports.
After being asked whether or not he’d ever join Fenerbahce, Ozil admitted that he was a boyhood fan of the Turkish giants but claimed that his immediate future was with us.
However, it’s the fact that the German wizard isn’t seemingly preparing for life after next season despite having three more years left on his current deal which may worry fans.
“Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahçe fan,” Ozil was quoted as saying.
“This proposal has honored me, but my career continues in England.

“At least I want to stay in one season at Arsenal.”
It is difficult to take these comments seriously when they’re reported by a foreign publication due to the realistic possibility that quotes can be lost in translation.
Despite the constant flack Ozil receives from the German press, the 26-year-old has always seemed settled at the club and is now starting to produce his best form.
Ozil, who is set to partake in his first pre-season with us, will certainly be looking to build up a base of fitness in order to hit the ground running when the Premier League resumes in August.
