The German World Cup winner is known for being one of the top assisters in football, and arrived from Real Madrid with high expectations.
Many feel he hasn’t reached the lofty heights expected of him since donning an Arsenal shirt, but the stats suggest otherwise.
The 26-year-old has notched up 14 assists during his time at Arsenal, with an impressive rate of one assist every 224 minutes.

Only Cesc Fabregas and Jose Antonio Reyes have a better rate, with the Spanish duo managing an assist every 221 and 214 minutes respectively.

Our record signing looks to finally be hitting some form, and has been fantastic since returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Hopefully he can continue in this vein for the rest of the season, and perhaps even improve as time goes on.
