Wilshere and the rest of the first team squad are currently in Singapore preparing for the Barclays Asia Trophy and the 23-year-old is feeling confident ahead of the new campaign.
Injuries have decimated our squad in recent years which has often given the impression that we lack depth, but the numbers we now have around the pitch are staggering.

“You’ve got the FA Cup, the League Cup, players go away on international breaks and players pick up injuries throughout the season, so it’s important we have the players to come in for that.”
We now have a wealth of options in each position, which has given Arsene Wenger a headache in the transfer market. When identifying any player, the boss has to make sure the player will improve our first XI or that potential addition will become pointless.
Unless a player of Petr Cech’s calibre becomes available, it is difficult to see any more signings arrive through the door at the Emirates Stadium. We could still use a handful of new faces ahead of the 2015/16 season, but we probably shouldn’t hold our breath.
