Puma unveiled our new away kit with the squad over in Singapore for the Barclays Asia Trophy, and as expected, they’ve gone for a gold theme.
Those who cast their minds back to our home hit launch at the Emirates Stadium last month may have cottoned on to Thierry Henry’s comments about our record in a gold kit.
While co-hosting the event, the French icon dropped in a little fact – which may have been encouraged by the fact that he’d already seen the away kit.
“I also liked the gold kit,” Henry said, when asked about previous Arsenal kits (via the Daily Mail).
“We never lost a game in it.”

Fans will no doubt harbor special memories about the previous gold kit, which we wore during the 2002/03 campaign as Arsene Wenger secured another double.
Although Puma’s new addition is a shade lighter, the concept was certainly shaped around our history and the players should need very little encouragement when donning the new strip.
Hopefully we can continue our good luck in gold and repeat the special feat once again next season.
