Arsenal newcomer Petr Cech has urged our players to believe that we can become successful and has listed that quality as one of the most important in top-level football, he told Arsenal Player.
Cech has won every trophy available to him at club level and believes the art of overcoming the fear of losing has allowed him to succeed on countless occasions.
The 33-year-old’s arrival this summer has been viewed as a major benefit for us with his sensational ability coming with an invaluable wealth of experience.

“I believe in my skills, I believe in my team-mates and that together we can achieve the targets and goals we set up. That means winning a football game,” Cech was quoted as saying.
“You cannot have a fear of making a mistake because a football game can finish only three ways – you win, you lose or you draw. You have to accept that.”

At his age, there is a case to be made to suggest that Cech is entering the peak of his career having gained huge experience over the past decade.
With Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker positioned in front of him, that triangle could become our base for a sustained title challenge.
The Community Shield against Chelsea gives Cech his first shot at silverware and an opportunity to strengthen the winning mentality we have unearthed in recent years.
