Arsenal’s new signing Petr Cech is still getting accustomed to his new surroundings, but the 33-year-old seems impressed by what he’s seen from his fellow teammates in training, The Telegraph reports.
Given that we’ve brought in a serial winner who can offer an interesting insight on the mentality of the group, which has been questioned on a few occasions, Cech’s words were encouraging.
The former Chelsea man has been amazed about the spirit in the camp and is also convinced that we can finally end our Premier League drought.
Cech has been on the winning side against us on countless occasions but believes that the tables could turn if our team was to add an important ingredient.

“What I’ve found is a group of players who work very hard and are focussed on what they are doing on the pitch to get ready,” Cech told the publication.

“I’ve found the team spirit quite extraordinary. Everybody pulls in the same direction, which is why I believe we will have a successful season.”
When asked what the team needed in order to overcome the Chelsea hoodoo, Cech replied: “If you have a game with two big teams it’s decided by the little details.”
Cech’s pedigree is what makes this deal hugely surprising. Very rarely have we seen a team strengthen a title rival in the manner Chelsea have done for us this summer.
With a defensive pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker to shield him, our defensive solidity may finally be complete.
