Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech revealed that he was back at the training ground on Tuesday and vowed to return stronger following a forgetful debut against West Ham United.
Back to work Have a good afternoon everyone … “What doesn’t kill you , makes you stronger !”
— Petr Cech (@PetrCech) August 11, 2015
Cech was mainly at fault for both goals as we slumped to a damaging defeat on the opening weekend of the season despite the encouraging signs we showed during pre-season.
After we defeated Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea for the first time at Wembley, there was huge optimism heading into the season with many fans believing that this could be our year.
However, what we witnessed against the east London side were the familiar failings that have hindered our progress over the past few years.
Cech is a world-class goalkeeper and will undoubtedly bounce back from this, but the same cannot be said about the other deficiencies we saw in the performance.

Arsenal transfer news
Our play going forward seemed predictable and West Ham were rarely troubled. We have now failed to score in four of our last five home games in the Premier League – that’s no coincidence.
Hopefully, the players are hungry to prove a point against Crustal Palace on Sunday as we look to get our league campaign going.
