According to The News of the World, the Gunners are set to announce the sale of some property in Queensland Road to Barratt Homes, in a deal which is expected to generate about £25m for the club. It has been earlier reported that Wenger already has £35m worth of funds in his transfer kitty, so putting two and two together would take his spending power to £60m!
Now with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri both been linked with moves away from the north London club, hopefully Wenger can persuade the duo to stay by bringing in the talent necessary to achieve success!
Samba’s rumoured price was around the £10m mark, however according to .. his price has escalated to £12m.

The Blackburn rovers centre back apparently has a clause in his contract from his previous club Hertha Berlin which states that a partial amount (believed to be around 15% of the new transfer fee) will be claimed by the 2nd division Bundesliga club. It does seem bizarre that Arsenal have to front up the extra cash to pay Hertha Berlin, shouldn’t it be Blackburns issue?
It seems that this transfer will be a lengthy process, especially with the Blackburn owners stating that they wish to retain his services for at least one more season; “I know he has an ambition to play for Arsenal but I hope we can keep him for another year at least and prove our own ambition.”,
Lets hope Wenger wraps this one up pronto! We don’t want another Mark Schwarzer situation…
According to The Mirror Italian giants Roma are heading to North London to discuss the purchasing of Arsenal’s left back Gael Clichy for a reported £7m.
With the French defender still refusing to sign a new contract he will most likely be sold, especially to another team outside of the Premier League. Roma’s Sabatini hopes to knock the Gunners down from their current £10 million asking price.
Sabatini is under orders to land Clichy from new boss Luis Enrique and he hopes Arsenal will take their offer, find a compromise figure or take a player in exchange.
I’ve always been a fan of Clichy, however he’s made numerous mistakes at times when player of his caliber just shouldn’t. I think it might be time to let go of our longest serving Gunner and purchase a more consistent left wing back.
