We weathered a late storm against Palace today to secure all three points, and Arsene Wenger admitted that we were lucky to do so, as reported by Goal.
Despite racing into a first half 2-0 lead, we never really looked comfortable. Palace were pressing high up the pitch, and applying constant pressure down the wings.
A late goal from second half substitute Glenn Murray put us under pressure, but with minutes to go it looked like we were going to hold on.
Murray then struck the post with practically the last kick of the game, with David Ospina beaten all ends up.

Wenger admitted after the game that he thought we were lucky to escape unscathed, but praised the players for getting the win.
“Crystal Palace is a team who play with a big intensity and a very direct game and for us, it was important to resist and try to play,” he said.
“We did that well but at 2-0 in the second half we tried much more to come out and protect our advantage, [rather] than continue to play and put them under pressure.
“We missed goal number three and when they came back to 2-1 we were a bit lucky, a bit fortunate, but overall we did fight and it was a very important win for us. Certainly they [Arsenal’s players] thought it was done and we know in the Premier League it is never done, especially at 2-0. With that ball on the post, we were a bit fortunate.”
Personally, I wasn’t happy with Wenger’s substitutions at all, and felt they gave off a very negative attitude.
The defensive nature of the changes meant we were forced to retreat into our shell, and the home side were able to recycle the ball and keep up the pressure.
We needed to utilise the pace of someone like Theo Walcott to make Palace fearful of committing too many bodies forward, or at the very least look to keep possession instead of handing it straight back to them with panicky clearances.
In the end three points is three points however, and with other teams near the top dropping points, all in all it was an excellent day.
