Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was pictured heading to Paris yesterday and reports have now emerged that he has held talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding Edinson Cavani and Adrien Rabiot, the Daily Mail reports.
According to the report, Wenger turned his attentions to Cavani after missing out on Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema though a deal to bring the Uruguayan to north London is rather unlikely.
As for Rabiot, he has found first-team opportunities hard to come by since signing a new contract last season and after being sent off in less than 30 minutes in his opening game this campaign, question marks over his attitude remain.
Just why Wenger would want to take a problem from PSG’s hands remains to be seen, but the boss has always loved working with a player he can mould into a star.
Wenger was spotted heading into France yesterday by a number of people and it looks like he’s making an effort in the transfer market.

With such little time left, it would take an almighty effort from everyone involved at the club to get deals of this calibre over the line with no hitch.
The feeling may be that we’ve left our business far too late, which will not be accepted by the majority of our fans.
