Alexis Sanchez has been sensational since joining the club this past summer, but he claims Arsene Wenger forced him to change his playing style following his move from Barcelona, according to Goal.
The Chilean has unbelievable skill and technique, and strikes fear into his opponents with the ball at his feet. He needs to learn when to release the ball however, and understand that he can’t always do everything himself.
He was occasionally criticised at the start of the season for holding onto the ball too long – dribbling when he should have picked out a team-mate instead.
It was difficult to be too harsh on him however, as he was scoring with regularity at a time when the rest of the team were struggling for form.

He has since revealed that Wenger has forced him to change his style, claiming that the Frenchman has instructed him to relax at times.
“My aim is to improve in every training session,” Sanchez is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
“I love to play with the ball so much that sometimes they ask me to relax and leave the ball a bit!”
He is clearly very comfortable at Arsenal, and is enjoying his role at the Emirates. He was always in Lionel Messi’s shadow when at Barcelona, and wasn’t appreciated despite his goalscoring prowess.
The 26-year-old is thriving with the higher levels of responsibility he receives at Arsenal, and is confident he can achieve a huge amount in North London.
“I want to win titles for Arsenal. We have the right team and the right players to do it. We have everything to collect silverware,” he continued.
“There is a very positive environment. Not only among the players, but I would extend this to the staff. Every club member is always available for us and that’s a great thing for us as players.”
The tricky forward has been enduring something of a goal drought by his standards, although he did find the net during our 4-1 win over Liverpool.
Hopefully that was the start of his form returning, and he continues to show his best form as we close out the season.
