Le Prof has reportedly turned his attention to the £6m man after hearing of his desire to leave his current club.
“Moreno is leaving Espanyol. He wants to leave and we’re looking for another team in Europe,” said the player’s agent.
The Mexican international is also a target for Tottenham and Manchester United however, and has previous connections to both clubs’ managers.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal gave the player his big break at Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, while Spuds manager Mauricio Pochettino was at Espanyol before he made the switch to the Premier League.
Wenger may find it difficult to convince the 26-year-old to pick Arsenal over our rivals, so may have to look elsewhere this winter.

We have been linked with a host of defenders this January, with our recent injuries seeing our needs increase further. Moreno would have proved a low budget option, but there are certainly players of far higher quality out there.
