The transfer window may only just have slammed shut, but Arsene Wenger is already planning for the summer according to reports.
The Frenchman is allegedly keen on PSV Eindhoven right-back Santiago Arias, who would consider a move to England, according to the Metro.
The right-back position is arguably one that we don’t need to be addressing, with Mathieu Debuchy, Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers, and the on loan Carl Jenkinson all able to play there.
The Colombian would like to play abroad eventually, so if the interest is genuine then we might be able to get our man.
“I’m certainly at a great club and I’m very happy,” Arias told De Telegraaf.

“I hope to play here for a long time, though I am certainly open to the possibility that might arise in the future to play in England, for example, or Germany.”
It’s far too soon to be speculating about summer transfers like these, but at 23-years-old he does look like a promising prospect.
We now need to be focusing on our FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough, as we have a real chance of retaining the trophy if we can recapture our form.
