We have recently been linked with a surprise move for Almeria winger Edgar Mendez, who could be available for a knockdown price, according to the Mirror.
Known predominantly as Edgar, the pacey wide-man is apparently faster than Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
He has been in excellent form so far this season, but the La Liga side are dangerously close to the relegation zone. He is unlikely to want to stay at the club if they drop out of the Spanish top division, and may look to jump ship this January if the right offer comes along.
Allegedly available for just £2m, he seems like the kind of player Arsene Wenger could be keen on. We will be facing competition for his signature from Everton, but surely the 23-year-old would prefer a move to the Emirates.

Equally comfortable playing in attacking midfield, the Spaniard certainly shouldn’t be a priority this winter. If Wenger sees something in him then I’m sure no one would complain about one more signing coming in, just as long as he doesn’t arrive in place of a defender or a defensive midfielder.
