Ahead of our FA Cup clash with Manchester United on Monday, Wenger was asked in an interview by Keown himself what his most memorable moment was.
“The most memorable? You were involved in it,” he responded humorously.
“Of course that famous incident with the penalty with van Nistelrooy.”
He is probably not alone in his thinking, as the famous incident is etched into the memories of almost every Arsenal and Manchester United fan.
Keown’s reaction to the Dutchman’s missed penalty was absolutely priceless, and produced the kind of imagery we just don’t see in the modern game.
