Arsene Wenger has admitted that it is good to have top scorer Alexis Sanchez back in the squad for the Premier League game against Leicester City.
Alexis has scored 18 goals in all competitions for us this season, and his absence was very much felt in the Derby defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs were able to squeeze us in possession and without the Chile international’s invention and pace, we were unable to get out of our own half for much of the game.
“He’s (Alexis) our best goalscorer and one of our hardest-working players in the team. Physically I think we suffered a little bit on some occasions on Saturday and it’s good to have him back,” Wenger told Arsenal.com
Interesting to see the boss highlight his physicality as an aspect we missed with the feeling that Spurs were sharper in the challenge.
Alexis is a player difficult to handle and who loves the physical battle linked with the Premier League and his return is much needed.

Also, on a personal level for the fans, the sight of him, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil dovetailing is something we have anticipated for a very long time. Injuries have meant that we were never able to get our best players together in the first half of the season, yet we’re close to witnessing that now.
