Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is adamant that Mesut Özil will stay this summer amid talk of interest from Juventus, and has revealed that he’s still active in the transfer market, The Telegraph reports.
Reports had emerged that Juventus were aiming to use a new lucrative sponsorship deal with Adidas to finance a deal for the German international (via the Express), something Wenger vehemently denied.
As our rivals continue to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign, the boss also stated that he isn’t done in terms of our own business – with Petr Cech the only arrival this summer so far.

“Özil is our player, he will remain our player and he wants to remain our player,” Wenger told reporters in Singapore (via The Telegraph).
After Wenger was quizzed on potential incomings this summer, he was clear that we remained open for business.

“It depends,” the boss stated.
“We are still open to do something else.”
If we’re to realistically challenge for the Premier League next season, then the arrival of Cech will not be enough to make up the 12 points we finished behind Chelsea last season.
Additions in holding midfield and up front are needed if we’re to have a complete squad, and signings must be made to give us the best chance of reaching the pinnacle.
Anything less, and we are likely to come up short once again.
