Arsene Wenger is planning one last bid for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this January, in the hope that the Frenchman can be lured away before the window closes, as reported by the Metro.
The Saints midfielder is a long term target of ours, and has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates over the last two transfer windows.
It’s difficult to see Ronald Koeman letting one of his star performers leave at this point in the season, especially with almost no time to replace him before the window slams shut.
The South coast club are also likely to want significantly more than the £15m Wenger is reportedly willing to offer; the 25-year-old not only hugely important to their success, but highly coveted as well.

Schneiderlin’s desire for Champions League football could go a long way towards getting the transfer done, but with Southampton currently flying in the Premier League it’s highly possible they will be competing among Europe’s elite next season too.
It’s difficult to see this deal happening, but if we do manage to pull it off this could prove to be one of our most successful transfer windows ever.
