Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed last month that he intended to talk to Abou Diaby regarding his future and it seems as though those talks are imminent, according to the Metro.
Diaby is out of contract come the end of the season and has made just two appearances over the past 20 months as he continues to struggle with his fitness.
Arsenal transfer news
The last major injury the Frenchman had was a cruciate ligament, but Diaby returned to make an appearance on the final day of last season at Norwich.
An early presence in pre-season gave many hope and when Diaby completed more than an hour against Southampton in the league cup it seemed as though the 28-year-old was back from the dead.

However, we haven’t seen him since and despite the club repeatedly denying the Frenchman being injured, his days at the club are surely numbered.
It is a sad case for us fans that know what the former Auxerre man is capable of, but in a cut-throat environment such as football, the club must let Diaby go.
