Arsene Wenger is looking to finish above Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb in our Champions League, which indicates that the boss may have already surrendered top spot to Bayern Munich, Arsenal.com reports.
Finishing second in our Champions League group has become the pattern over the last couple of years despite the fact that we were consistently seeded first.
However, with the rules changing this season in order to favour the eight domestic champions, we dropped to pot two and were drawn in the same group as Bayern Munich.
The five-time European Cup winners are the favourites to finish first and Wenger doesn’t seem like he’s interested in putting up a fight.

“I think it is important to start well because the hunger of a team is shown as well in how well you go in every competition.”
Wenger’s Champions League career has been mediocre once the competition starts, despite his impeccable record in terms the consistency of our qualification.
We’ve been eliminated at the last-16 stage of the competition for the past five seasons which raises suspicion regarding our aspirations when heading into Europe’s premier club competition.
Hopefully, Wenger looks to go for the top spot in the group and aim to challenge Bayern Munich.
