Arsene Wenger claims we are more than capable of beating Manchester City to second spot in the Premier League this season, according to Goal.
The Frenchman has engineered a late surge up the table, and we currently find ourselves in third place – just four points behind second placed Manchester City.
When asked if it was possible to finish above the reigning Champions this season, he was confident in his response.
“Of course it is possible,” he replied.
“If you ask a team four points behind us if they could catch us and they would say certainly, yes.

“It’s very tight. Man City are four points ahead and there are plenty of people chasing us in the top four. It’s down to consistency.
“We have seen things change quickly in the last two or three months of the season. We have to focus on finishing as well as we can.”
Our disappointing 3-1 loss against AS Monaco in the Champions League put a real dent in our season, but we followed it up with a 2-0 win over Everton to keep the pressure up on City in the league.
With Liverpool managing to overturn Manuel Pellegrini’s side 2-1 at Anfield, we were able to close the gap on the cash rich club as we head into the tail end of the season.
We have failed to finish in the top two for almost a decade now, but a win against QPR this Wednesday would see us one step closer to overtaking City.
