Arsene Wenger seems to have plucked another gem from his place of birth in the shape of Jeff Reine-Adelaide after the 17-year-old produced a stellar display against Wolfsburg.
Despite the public perception that Arsene Wenger often favours French talent, he has brought in very few players from that region in recent years.
In fact, the likes of Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane, and number of other big name French stars have moved to top clubs around Europe, which is surprising considering the influence Wenger has when looking to lure his compatriots to North London.

We have seen a number of world class Frenchman pass through the club though, so if Reine-Adelaide is ever in need of some inspiration, then he has plenty of players to look up to – both past and present.

6) Bacary Sagna
Sagna’s arrival was an unusual one at the time, with Wenger strengthening the right-back position despite the presence of Emmanuel Eboue and Justin Hoyte in our squad.
However, he turned out to be one of our most successful recent signings, and few players offer eight years of loyalty to one club. Sagna, in his prime, was one of the best right-back’s in Europe and his consistency means he must be considered one of Wenger’s best ever players.
