The Gunners midfielder was knocked out cold by Jordan Henderson accidentially, and consequently the 29-year-old was rushed to hospital.
Despite his Merseyside roots both Gunner fans and Liverpool supporters applauded the Spaniard as he left the field on a stretcher, Skysport had revealed that Arteta was ok, but not in the best condition so he was whisked off to hospital as a precaution.
Arteta told Radio Marca:
I have suffered the biggest fear of my life,
I only remember the fall by the blow and nothing after. It was terrifying but now I am better.
Sincerely, I do not remember too much apart from the impact. I have heard people applauded me as I left the field and I am grateful for this reception.

I want to be available for this Tuesday against Milan
Wenger certainly won’t be taking any chances with Arteta this week against Milan if there is a slight trace of concussion. He has become an instrumental part of the Gunners midfield, as he is the invaluable link between Song, Rosicky and the fowards/wingers.
Arsenal’s run in to the end of the season is extremely vital with every match essentially a cup-final with a host of teams on their tail for fourth spot, and Spurs extremely close now in third. I almost feel like Wenger should give up on the Champions League, yet he still believes that there is something to be said on Tuesday. Will we score 4 or 5 goals without conceding? I think not, but I suppose it’s not completely impossible.
What do you guys think? Should Wenger rest a host of first team players so we have a fresh team for next weekends fixture against Newcastle? Feel free to comment below..
