In a somewhat sensational and unexpected move, we have apparently agreed terms with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to Italian publication Calciomercatoweb.
The Chilean midfielder looks set to join his compatriot Alexis Sanchez, with the report suggesting the Serie A star has agreed a four year deal with us.
His agent Fernando Felicevich was apparently in London recently, at which point Calciamercatoweb claims he met with Arsenal representatives to finalise the agreement.
Vidal has, in the past, been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester United (via the Express), but it seems as though he will now be Emirates bound this summer. All that’s left is for a fee to be agreed with Juventus, which shouldn’t be a problem according to the Italian publication.
The newly crowned Scudetto winners are reportedly willing to cash in on Vidal this summer, in the hopes that they can hold onto Paul Pogba for at least one more season.

The 27-year-old may not have been at his best this season, but he is still a top quality midfielder. He has scored eight times this campaign in all competitions, while assisting a further four times.
The South American is a tough tackler as well, and would definitely add something to our midfield. He may not be the out-and-out defensive midfielder we have needed so badly for years, but he would certainly be a fantastic acquisition if this deal comes to fruition.
