Arturo Vidal claims Bayern Munich have asked him about Alexis Sanchez with the German champions reportedly interested in signing the Arsenal star this summer.
Sanchez is approaching the final year of his Arsenal contract and with the club having missed out on Champions League football, speculation over his future will surely only increase.
Bayern won their fifth consecutive Bundesliga title this season and Vidal says he would like to see his compatriot make the move to Germany.
“Bayern have asked me about Alexis and I’ve always told them that he is the player who should come here,” he said via The Metro.
“I would like Alexis at Bayern. He is doing well at Arsenal but I think he has to take a step up and fight with the best in the world.

“He still has one year on his contract. Everybody wants him because it’s easier now than if he had three years left.
“I would like him very well. He is a very good player, he has a lot of quality and he is young. We hope he will be able to come here because if he comes he will show his quality.”
Having finished fifth, the prospects of Sanchez staying are not looking great at the moment and we can only hope that he can somehow be persuaded his future lies in north London.
