Pep Guardiola claims Arsenal can trust his side to do their best against Olympiacos in their next Champions League clash, as they will be fighting to top the group, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Our poor start to the group stages was compounded by our 5-1 loss against the German giants on Wednesday night, and our qualification from the group is unfortunately no longer in our own hands.
We need Bayern to beat the Greek side if we are to get through to the last 16, something Guardiola says we can trust them to do.
“Trust us we will try to win,” Guardiola said.
“Be sure we will fight because we want to be first in the group.”
Even with Munich winning against Olympiacos, we’d still have a lot to do. Not only would we have to beat both Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos, but we’d also have to beat the latter by at least two goals – in order to emerge with a better head to head record.

You’d expect Bayern to get the better of both teams, but the same was said about us in the first two games. Hopefully Guardiola is correct, and we are still able to escape from the group stages. It looks as though if we fail to qualify then we’re most likely finish third, which would disastrously dump us into the Europa League.
