Kick-Off (GMT): Wed 15 Feb 19:45
Another Champions League knockout tie, another matchup against Bayern Munich. There’s more than a little familiarity for Arsenal fans as their side prepares for a match at the Allianz Arena on what will be the seventh match between the two clubs in the last four seasons.
Despite not giving much away in terms of his outfield team selection, Wenger did say that the Gunners will start with David Ospina in goals.
“I have nothing to hide,” Wenger said. “It will be Ospina.
“The quality of his performances, we are in the last 16 and we topped the group. If you analyse his performances in every single game, we are where we are down to his great performances.”
David Ospina has started every Champions League match this season ahead of first choice keeper Petr Cech. The Colombian kept just two clean sheets in his six matches but put in a couple of impressive performances, particularly away at Paris Saint-Germain in September.
Another player who, it seems, will play is Mesut Özil. There was some doubt over whether the German would play against Bayern but Wenger put those rumours to bed.

“I pick the team tomorrow morning and you will see that Özil is highly focussed on having a good performance tomorrow.”
It’s a massive match for Arsenal and for Arsene Wenger. With a number of major European clubs far from the best domestically, this season’s Champions League is very much up for grabs. Should the Gunners progress then they would have to be considered amongst the favourites to go all the way.
