Hector Bellerin has vowed to keep Arsenal’s unbeaten run going after they were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by Middlesbrough at the Emirates on Saturday.
The Gunners were big favourites to make it eight wins in a row in all competitions but were forced to settle for a point, and grateful to goalkeeper Petr Cech for making several fine saves.
The result leaves Arsenal top of the table and without a defeat since their opening day loss to Liverpool on August 14.
Next up for the Gunners is an EFL Cup fourth round tie against Reading on Tuesday with Bellerin keep to maintain their unbeaten run.
“Difficult game ending with a disappointing result. We’ll work hard to keep our unbeaten run going. Thanks for the support as always,” he wrote on Instagram.
Midfielder Granit Xhaka also revealed his disappointment at the Gunners only being able to pick up a point. The Switzerland international missed the game through suspension after being sent off against Swansea.
“Unfortunately only one point today. The guys gave their maximum and fought hard. Now it’s time to focus on the next match,” he posted on Instagram.

Arsenal’s fixture list sees the Gunners take on Reading on Tuesday followed by games against Sunderland and Ludogorets. However, following that there are some tricky tests with Tottenham the visitors on November 6 before a trip to Manchester United and then PSG in the Champions League.
