Hector Bellerin will consider accepting an offer to return to Barcelona should Arsene Wenger leave Arsenal this summer, according to The Guardian.
Barcelona have long been linked with a move for Bellerin although speculation seemed to have been put to bed after the 21-year-old signed a new long-term Arsenal deal back in November.
However, rumours have reared their head again with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reporting yesterday that the Catalan giants are set to step up their interest in the right-back.
Barcelona are badly in need of a quality full-back and see Bellerin, who left Camp Nou as a 16-year-old, as the perfect player to bring in.
The Guardian now claim that Bellerin would be open to a return to his former club should Wenger leave when his contract expires this summer.
The report states that Bellerin signed his new deal after being told that Wenger would stay on and enjoys playing for the Frenchman.

Furthermore, the report also rather worryingly claims that Bellerin’s thoughts over his future at Arsenal, could be seriously affected by Wenger’s departure.
Mesut Ozil has already claimed he would leave if Wenger were to depart and it now appears that Arsenal could be set to lose several key players, including possibly Alexis Sanchez, should the 67-year-old step down.
While there is no way Arsenal would wish to sell Bellerin, if Barcelona do come in for him and he decides he does want to return, they may struggle to keep hold of him.
Wenger’s future still remains very much the subject of speculation with Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli the latest to be linked with taking over Arsenal.
Whatever happens it appears increasingly apparent that should Wenger leave, his departure will have massive ramifications throughout the club.
