Self-proclaimed ‘world’s greatest striker’ Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed publicly that a move away from the Emirates is imminent after failing to break into the first-team last season.
The unwanted forward played no part in Arsenal’s pre-season as Arsene left him behind to negotiate transfers with other clubs and has been heavily linked with Sporting Lisbon, Borussia Dortmund and Stoke.
Bendtner is expected to fetch around £9m from whichever club he makes the switch to, although it is unclear which club with the Dane saying to Sky Sport News on whether a move was coming: “Yes, I have done my part as well as I can, and it’s up to Arsenal now to sort it out. I can’t do anything more.
“Hopefully it will be sorted soon but, as I said to the Danish press, when I know something, they will.
“I would like to play at a place where you are happy and play every week, that is the most important thing for any football player. Hopefully that will happen soon.”
The tall Dane then showed a glimpse of his trademark arrogance when asked if Stoke was a club he was in negotiations with, replying with a disrespectful chuckle and further saying: “I can’t say anything about who I have been speaking to. But hopefully it will all get sorted out soon.”

I welcome the move for Bendtner to finally leave. He is crazily arrogant, but he does deserve first-team football for the skill he possesses. It’s no secret we have a long list of attacking players at Arsenal and Bendtner found himself a way down the pecking order. Time to strengthen that defense with profits from Bendtners sale Arsene!
