Karim Benzema has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Emirates recently (via the Daily Star), but a move has so far looked unlikely.
The player himself has refused to rule out a switch to Arsenal however, claiming that following Arsene Wenger’s phonecall a move could still be on the cards, as reported by Spanish publication El Confidencial.
It’s possible there could be a shakeup at Real Madrid, with new boss Rafa Benitez potentially experimenting with different formations.
The former Liverpool manager could look to use Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo up front (via the Express), which would lessen Benzema’s role at the club and potentially force him out.
