The Karim Benzema rumours keep rumbling on, with the Frenchman consistently linked with a switch to the Emirates (via the Daily Star).
The latest report suggests Benzema is more than open to an Arsenal move, and it’s just up to us to make match his valuation, according to the Star.
An insider source at the paper claims the 27-year-old is willing, so the ball is now in our court.
“It’s up to Arsenal to fight for Karim with a big offer,” a Daily Star source is quoted as saying.
“Then he could be their player in this window.”
Stories over the last few days have suggested our £48m bid has been accepted (via the Daily Star), so if both reports prove to be true, then a deal should be imminent.

We don’t have long to get the deal over the line, but Arsene Wenger is known for getting his business done late. Hopefully we see another marquee signing arrive before the window closes, with Benzema potentially following former teammate Mesut Özil and ex-La Liga rival Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates.
Arsenal transfer news
Despite our fantastic form during the tail end of the last campaign – not to mention our superb pre-season – we are still arguably missing a couple of players. Benzema may well prove to be key player we need to push for the title.
