*Special bet facts: Three of Arsenal’s last four matches have resulted in draws at half time with an Arsenal victory by fulltime.
Arsenal are so far undefeated in the group stage of the Champions League, winning two and drawing one of their three games. Every other team in Group F has lost at least one match. They have been close matches so a draw at either or full time is quite likely.
Arsenal 2 Marseille 1
Arsene Wenger’s men have had trouble keeping clean sheets in recent weeks, as they have managed only one in their last seven games in all competitions. Their last clean sheet in fact came against Didier Deschamps’ men at the Stade Velodrome.
Despite their defensive frailty’s at times, their attack has been quite superb especially when they have been spearheaded by skipper Robin van Persie who has scored seven goals in his five past matches.
The visitors, like Arsenal, are on an undefeated run of six games in Ligue 1, but find themselves in a mid-table position due to a poor start to their domestic campaign.
Both sides can score, however both sides can defend well at their best of times. Marseille will be happy with a draw so it looks likely they will defend hard so it seems destined to be a low scoring affair. 2-1’s a decent bet.
