We have recently been linked with a surprise move for Borussia Dortmund star Kevin Grosskreutz, with Arsene Wenger already having made a £3.7m bid, according to Italian publication Calcio Mercato.

The German star is known for his versatility, something Wenger values extremely highly. The 26-year-old can play all up and down either flank, as well as in central midfield.
With Dortmund’s precarious position in the Bundesliga they are facing a mass exodus from the club, and with just 18 months left on his current contract Grosskreutz looks to be on his way out.
The Black and Yellows utility man is known to be a boyhood Arsenal fan, so would presumably love a move to the Emirates. And with such a nominal transfer fee he seems like the kind of player Wenger would jump at the chance to sign.

He is unlikely to be the marquee signing that many fans would like to see join the club this January, but his versatility would definitely be of benefit during our next inevitable injury crisis.
