Steve Bould has revealed what the Arsenal coaching staff thinks of summer signing, Lucas Torreira (via The Metro).
It’s fair to say that the Arsenal fans have taken kindly to Lucas Torreira since his summer move from the Italian side, Sampdoria.
The diminutive Uruguay international has really caught the eye at the base of the midfield and now, assistant coach Steve Bould has revealed what the coaches think of Torreira and his midfield partner, Granit Xhaka.
“Yeah. They look like they could be a good partnership, especially with Torreira.
“Torreira looks like he’s always played here. He’s just a great kid and nothing bothers him, he’s always got a smile on his face every day.
“He trains every day as if he loves it and he’s never a problem. He just looks a top player.”

Torreira is best known for his defensive qualities and Bould was asked whether the midfielder enjoys that side of the game.
“He does enjoy it, but he’s much, much more than that.
“He’s just one of those players that will do everything you ask, won’t question it and you know that he’ll do it to the best of his ability.”
It’s an interesting interview from Bould. The Arsenal coaches clearly think a lot of Lucas Torreira and that feeling is shared by the Gunners’ fans.
